Practicing The Art of Love: Acting vs Reacting

Are you acting (coming from love) or reacting (coming from fear)? Before we begin, place your hand over your heart and repeat with me: “I am open to giving and receiving love in my life”

The opposite of love is fear. Whenever assisting women or couples in their relationships, what I have always found is that within the problem or situation there is always some layer of fear that is present. So that has made me ponder, the whole concept of love and fear and all emotions, energy, and vibrations come from them. Like all emotions really do come from one of two families, that would be the family of love or the family of fear.

It’s Never Too Late To Do The Right Thing

It really is never too late to do the right thing, The less emotion you can bring forward while making good and sound decisions, the better the outcome will be. This isn’t always easy is it? Think of this as a way to shift your perspective, all of your problems started out as opportunities or good ideas at one time in your life, yet that could have also been a long time ago. It’s possible that your life, your desires, and your knowledge has evolved/expanded and now what was once a good idea or opportunity may not be so now.   Don’t be afraid to change your beliefs or your ways of thinking. You don’t owe anyone an apology, and you don’t have to ask anyone for permission to step into who God created you to be!

TIP: Try applying this question to any difficult decision you are having that could be causing you stress: “Knowing what I know now, would I still make the same decision?”  Continue reading “It’s Never Too Late To Do The Right Thing”

You Are Much Bigger Than Your Mistakes

Do you ever wonder where you would be without your “mistakes”? Well I would like to invite you to really expand your insight on how you look at your mistakes. Take a moment and look at yourself, do you see the incredible and amazing person you are already? I hope to inspire you to renew your mind (lean on God Romans 12:2) and your perspective about the experiences you have created. The “mistakes” are actually golden nuggets in our journey to love ourselves more, to see the miracle that is there for you to see within your own self.

Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase.

In Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich, Principle #2 is Faith.

Think about one area in your life where you could use a little more faith, put your hand over your heart and close your eyes and think of what it is in that area that makes you feel insecure? Get that vision in your mind and take a big breath in and visualize the fear or the insecurity literally dropping from your mind into your heart. Now visualize the outcome you want to experience/achieve and focus on that and hold it into your mind and heart….. You got this! Lean on God, He will never leave your side!

Those Who Are Crazy Enough To Think They Can Change The World Usually Do

It begins with self-mastery. What does self-mastery mean to you? How often do you tell yourself how incredible you are? Have you ever tried to look in the mirror to tell yourself that you are cool? Try it! Get your favorite Tom Cruise glasses on (like in Risky Business) and put them on and look in the mirror and tell yourself how cool YOU ARE! Do you believe it? Or have you become a victim of the beliefs of the naysayers in your life?  Continue reading “Those Who Are Crazy Enough To Think They Can Change The World Usually Do”

Seek First To Understand, Then Be Understood

“Seek first to understand, then be understood”. This is actually habit #5 in Steven Covey’s book 7 Habits of Effective People, he shares some really good examples of how we can often times bring in our own “stuff” when engaging in communication with another person.

I don’t know about you, but I can think of times whether it’s been a mom, a wife, a sister, or a coach where I hear what the person is saying and go right into my own judgments or trying to “fix” and not to understand. We can create compassionate communication when we do seek to understand, shifting our perspective outside our own ego and into our hearts to really hear what they are saying.

Its Never Too Late To Be Who You Might Have Been

“It’s never too late to be who you might have been”~George Eliot

Your life and your big dream is important. You are valuable, and you make a difference. Believe that and walk into it! The best road to take is the one you make, and so what are the things to contemplate while you CREATE your path? I’m so glad you asked because I would like to share it with you!  Continue reading “Its Never Too Late To Be Who You Might Have Been”

Unapologetically Being ME

I hope you set yourself free from your own self criticism and also give a voice to those women who may not be fully accepting themselves where they are at too. I feel very strongly about self-acceptance in such a way that YOU can fully love, fully ACCEPT, fully EMBRACE YOU no matter where you are at in your journey. No matter WHAT your weight is today as it may be different from 5 years ago. I do believe if we want to feel better in our human body suit then it would be much easier to start from self acceptance and GROW from there. I feel that we can have a bigger impact on our own personal transformation from that perspective rather than coming from our own critical self-judgment.
