It took everything to fight the urge to end the video and delete it. It’s the first video I have watched in a really long time. When I saw myself crying, I began crying again. In that moment I knew it needed to be shared and not deleted…

You have no idea how much I wanted to just hit the delete button and go run and hide. I could feel the knot in my throat getting bigger and I could feel the tears starting to form, and then there it was, the ‘ugly cry’! The more I tried to stop it the more it came out. I started to sweat, you can literally see me wiping the sweat. I was thinking to myself, good thing there is only one viewer today because I am going to delete this and re-record it….. Yea, that didn’t happen.

Trust in the Lord above man [God will guard your heart], this is today’s message which is Day 60 of 90 for reading the New Testament in 90 days, and day 60 of 365 of reading the bible in a year. The reading plan today is Philippians 4 and Colossians 1-2. Today I went into a full blown ‘ugly cry’, eeeeek….. talk about #raw and #real, here it IS for sure.

So, what ways should we serve the world as Christ followers? I go deep here in today’s video, and also one of my favorite verses Philippians 4:6-9 – Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
